Recent Project

In May, I fell in love with this edged handkerchief pattern in Crochet Today. I wasn't fond of the light blue, but I knew I really wanted to make it. I love the crochet lace look, and working with thread is something I am trying to improve on, so it was a perfect project. It took me some time to get the handkerchiefs (they are really only sold by one or two stores online) but when I did, it worked up quickly and was a satisfactory project.

You can't really tell, but I even messed up the corner! I misread the pattern in the first go-round, and accidentally added more stitches than necessary, which then in turn effected all of the rounds after that. Oh well. It definitely is not obvious.

You can see more about this project at my Ravelry page.

Oak Park Farmer's Market

I visited the Oak Park Farmer's Market two Saturdays ago with my friend Laura. Being the first one of the year, the offerings were a bit slim (lots of asparagus, rhubarb, and plants), but we had a good time.
