I'd like to take a moment to showcase art I have in my home by other talented artists. Because this is February, the month of Valentine's day, I'd like to share some love-themed art.
Somehow, when I moved, I ended up with a light pink bedroom. I haven't had a pink room since I was twelve and sharing it with my sister, and even then, there were light green accents, so it wasn't totally "girly." The more surprising discovery was that I have so much pink and red things that it all came together quite nicely, and looks like I painted it pink on purpose.
One of my new purchases, however, were these delightful prints by Lisa Chow. I absolutely adore the monochromatic art with one color accent. In this case, it's a little pink heart covered wedding cake, and little heart-shaped flowers. These two hang above my desk and make me happy every time I look at them.

The other piece of art is the piece on top of the image. That's the Hello Love print from Sarah Marguerite. She's currently being featured on Poppytalk Handmade, but I knew her from before she was famous. Sarah was an important part of me getting my Etsy store off the ground and was my room mate for a year before she moved to Michigan. I love this print, and it fits in so well that you'd think I got it on purpose. The second isn't a print, but a card I actually made last year at Valentine's day time at the Renegade Handmade store here in Chicago.
